Feature - Performance Options for eContact Activity Tab

Release date: 1/13/2017  (V8.1 and V8.2)

Sometimes there are so many activity records associated with a contact or company that it takes several seconds to load them all into the lists on the Activity tab of the eContact Information screen.

This new feature allows you to improve performance in two ways:
  1. You may set a limit to the number of records that will appear in each of the lists.  The default is 1,000 records.
  2. You may choose to ignore Log In and Log Out activity.  By default, Log In and Log Out records will be shown.
To change these two settings, press either of the Filters buttons -- these settings apply to both lists:

The following dialog will appear:

In the red box above, you may enter any number between 10 and 999999.  If you enter any text outside this range, it will return to the default value of 1,000.  The number you enter will determine the maximum number of records that will appear in the lists.  The smaller the number, the faster the list will fill.  Note that the list will contain the most recent subset of records from the file.

The checkbox in the red box above can be set to ignore Log In and Log Out activity.  Most lists will not contain Log In and Log Out activity, but when a list can contain them (as in Password Setup), there could be thousands of them.  Setting this checkbox will ignore all of them.

Your choices are saved for the next use of the Activity tab of the eContact Information screen.
