Feature - Added 1C and LD Column Types to Reordering Advice User Defined CSV Export

Release Date:  5/3/2017

Multiple changes have been made to the Reordering Advice User Defined CSV Export programs.  You can access this feature from I/M -> Reports -> Reordering Advice Reports -> User Defined CSV Export / Maintenance.

The system now supports the following additional column types in User Defined CSV Maintenance:
  • 1C - 1st component
  • LD - Linkage file document date

The 1C (1st component) refers to the first component of a kit parent item or manufacturing item.  For a kit item, our system will look at the kit components to find the first component item of the kit and return in this field.  For a manufacturing item, our system will look at the first component of the product structure.  If the first component is not defined, or if this is not a kit or manufacturing item, then a blank will be displayed in this column.

In some business types, the first component of a kit and BOMP product structure is another similar example of this item. The other components of the kit or BOMP product structure may be packaging, or other lesser-important items. For example, a user may have an item A and similar items A1, A2, A3,.etc. A1, A2 and A3 have A as the first component in either the kit or BOMP product structure. When they see items A1, A2, A3, they want to see the first component A on the spreadsheet as well.

For the LD type (Linkage file document date), there is currently the I/M -> Reports -> Item Linkage CSV Report (IMLNKPRP.CBL) that can produce similar information. In this report, you can specify up to five link types to export to CSV. The selected link types will be exported to the CSV file with the link type as the heading. If the link document file exists, the system shows the link file document date in the CSV column. If the link file is not found, then the column is blank. This is a way for management to check whether or not the proper link documents have been set up for an item. By adding the LD type here, User Defined CSV Export can replace the Item Linkage Report.

For the LD type, a valid link type must be entered in the "From Pr/Yr" screen column, in the same place that a formula would be entered for the F type.
