Feature - Support Lower Case Purchase Order Numbers

Release Date: 4/9/19
Version: 8.2 and up

Some EDI Trading Partners (e.g., Amazon) require the support of a purchase order number that is mixed case (containing both upper and lower case letters). Sales Order Import supports the importing of the mixed case purchase order numbers. This feature adds the same support to Order Entry, Copy/Consolidate Orders, and Sales Desk.

When adding an order, the field will default to upper case. The user now has the option to press the F1 function key to allow entry in lower case. The F1 key acts as a toggle switch. Pressing the F1 key will toggle between upper case and lower case entry.

When changing an order and accessing the purchase order number field, the application will determine if the purchase order number contains lower case letters. If it does, the entry mode will default to lower case. If it does not, the entry mode will default to upper case. The user can press the F1 key to switch between upper and lower case as needed.
