Release Date: 03/23/2020
Version: 8.2 & up

Q - In the COP Order Header table, there's a column ORDER_RELEASE_FLAG. What are the possible values for the COP order release flag?  What are they used for?

A - The possible values are:
  • "N" (default) = The order has not been released through the Release Held Order screen.
  • "Y" = The order has been released through the Release Held Order screen.
  • "C" = The order is on hold due to a credit issue.
  • "A" = The order is on hold due to a Restricted Attribute.
  • "J" = The order is on hold due to missing a required job number.
  • "I" = The order is on hold due to an integrity issue.
  • "F" = The order is on hold due to an FFL issue (this value is specific to firearms industry).
The primary purpose of this flag is to enhance COP -> Processing -> Release Held Order -> Release with Filters. In some organizations, there may be multiple groups of people responsible for releasing held orders. For example, a credit department is responsible to release a held order due to a credit reason and a compliance department may be responsible for other reasons.
