Feature - Gross Requirements to Use COP Order Customized Structure

Release Date: 03/25/2022
Version: 8.5 & Higher

In the COP Order Entry Line Item Screen, the user can press "F4=Custom Prod Stru" key to customize the components needed to produce the parent item for this order.  See sample screen below:

In BOMP -> Reports -> Gross Requirements Report, the user can import from a sales order as a shortcut to entering a list of item and quantity.

In the past, even though the components structure may have been customized in the COP Line Item screen, the gross requirements report still used the standard material structure to produce the gross requirements report.

With this enhancement, the system will now look to see if the COP line item component structure is customized.  If it is customized, the system will use the customized structure in the COP line item to generate the gross requirements report. We now support the following four types of customized structures in COP line items:
  1. Material Work Order Component Structure
  2. Plus Work Order Component Structure
  3. Kit Component Structure (Super Kit)
  4. Feature Option Structure
In addition, in the gross requirements report, we will indicate if the parent line item comes from a sales order. See sample screen below:

In the above example, the first parent item #0 107 110 6128 is from sales order #140362 and is customized.  The second parent item #0 107 110 6128 is entered manually into the gross requirements report and hence does not show the sales order # info.  The last item #0 107 110 6128K is a kit parent item with product structure defined in sales order #140362.
