Feature -Hiding or Unhiding Report Desk Reports

Background

Report Desk allows Elliott users to have new, customizable reports. While this is generally beneficial, not all users will want to take advantage of this feature. This article describes how any individual user can specify that they only want legacy reports, effectively hiding all Report Desk reports.

Hiding Report Desk Reports

If a user has the ability to run Report Desk, selecting a menu option to produce a report could bring up a list of reports like the following:


If you want to hide all Elliott Report Desk reports going forward, click on the button at the bottom right of the dialog (see red box above). This will bring up a confirmation dialog like this:


Press the Yes button to hide all Report Desk reports going forward. Once that is done, selecting the same menu option on the same screen will bring up only the legacy option(s) for reporting..

Restoring Hidden Report Desk Reports

If you decide later that you want to start using Report Desk reports, you must follow this procedure:
  1. Edit your computer's Registry. You may need an administrator to help with this.
  2. Go to:Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NETcellent\Elliott\8.0\Report Desk\Preferences.
  3. Set the String Value LegacyOnly to No.
