CSV Export of Historical Item Price Changes
It is my understanding that if item price changes are done through Future Price Maintenance or Mass Import, there is not an audit trail that can be exported to see historical data of changes over a period of time. This would be helpful by item number or by Product Category over a specified range of time.

Also, we probably should also cover the item CSV mass change import. The Item Audit file does not audit every single field in the item master. I think the principle should be that if one of the field in the item master file is changed through application like future price posting, mass import changes, we should write to the item audit record. But if the changes is through other type of regular posting that affect the item quantity, like COP sales journal, PO receiving, Inventory transaction, production…etc. The quantity, item cost is expected to change. There’s no need to write to the item audit record. Also, inventory transaction audit trail already have auditing records on those posting activities anyway.

Would the item audit trail table also be updated if prices updated through Mass Import?

Maybe the solution is to update item audit trail (IMITMADT) table when post future price? Then you can see the changes in item audit trail report which has the CSV option now.
