Feature - Allow End Item Where-Used to Select Items Based on CSV File

Release Date - 4/25/18

BOMP -> Reports -> End Item Where-Used Report currently allows users to specify a range of items, and few other parameters for selection. This feature gives the user the ability to individually identify a list of items in a CSV file and use that as the input parameters. This option is available from the Starting Item Number field.

The F3 option gives the user the ability to use a CSV file as the input for item number range. A window is displayed when the F3 key is pressed.

There are two entry fields required.

File Path - Enter the full path to the CSV file. The application will verify that the CSV file exists before proceeding to the next field.

Does CSV Have Header Row? - Answer Y or N to indicate if the first line in the CSV file is a header row.

If a CSV file is specified, a literal "<From File>" is displayed next as the starting item number and the name of the CSV file is displayed below field 1. Fields 1 – 7 will be disabled. If the user changes their mind and wants to enter a starting and ending item range or use a different CSV file, then the user has to start over by exiting the screen and starting over.

If the CSV file is specified, the End Item Where Used Report will use the item number provided to generate the report. The CSV file name is provided in the legend area of the report.
