Feature - Add "Only Release PT-C Orders ?" to Release Held Orders
Release date: 11/6/2018
This feature is related to the following KB article:
In this change, we added a flag "Only Release PT-C Orders ?" to
Util-Setup ---> Global Setup ---> Utilities ---> Cop Utilities ---> Utilities ---> Release held order
A new screen field, "8. Only Release PT-C Orders ?" has been added to this screen:
PT-C (Pick Ticket, Credit Hold) refers to sales orders that have gone through the pick ticket printing process, but are put on hold due to credit reasons. Sometimes, you may want to limit this utility to only release those orders that are on credit hold through the pick ticket processing.
Currently, this utility will only release those orders that were put on hold automatically. The system is assuming that if the credit hold note exists, then the orders are put on hold automatically. Otherwise, they are manually put on hold. This utility will not release those orders that were put on hold manually.
However, the assumption above to identify manual hold orders is not 100% correct. A user could put an order on hold manually. However, if the order has some sort of problem -- like a credit issue, restricted attribute, FFL check issue...etc. -- this results in the credit hold note being created. The user may not want to release this order even though it has a credit hold note. Usually, the process is that users will release these orders manually, which will send them to pick ticket. If the pick ticket function puts the order on hold due to a credit reason (like past due or exceeding credit limit, for example), then we can use this utility to automatically release the orders. If this scenario applies to you, then you should answer "Y" to "8. Only Release PT-C Orders?"
