Receive "You do not have password access" Message When Drill Down to Credit Card

Release Date: 10/21/2021
Version: 7.5 & Up

QWe have a user (copied from another user) who is receiving the following message when going into the eContact and trying to drill down to the credit card detail:
"You do not have password access."
See sample screen below:

None of the other users in the group have this issue.  I also preauthorized this user with credit card access in Global Setup -> Utility -> AR utility -> preauthorize Ws server cc access. See sample screen below:

AThe one you need to use is “preauthorize User cc access.” The encrypted security key is then stored in the registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER area.

As for “Preauthorize Ws server cc access,” Ws means Web services. The encrypted security key is stored  in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE area. Web services does not have a desktop login user session and, hence, HKEY_CURRENT_USER is not applicable.

In light of your confusion, we have changed the title from “preauthorize Ws server cc access” to “auth Web service server cc access.” See sample screen below. This function is only applicable to a Web services server.

Credit card Web services will allow you to accept credit card charges from your website and update Elliott on the backend. You should not use this function for regular user credit card authorization purposes. We also renamed the “Preauthorize user cc access” selection to “Authorize user cc access” to make naming consistent. "Authorize user cc access" is the one you should use.
