Feature - Add Decimal Value to Case Quantity on Picking Ticket

Release Date: 1/7/22

Version: 8.5 and Up

In Global Setup, COP-Func, Pick/Pack Ticket/Ship Label, screen 2, flag 27. Print No of Cases On Pick Ticket(Calc)/RndUp: A Y response will cause a new window to pop up and prompt the user to answer "Round Case Qty Up To Whole Number?" The default is Y. See sample screen below:

Responding with N will cause the Picking Ticket Print to print the case quantity with up to 3 decimals, depending on the system configuration. The total case quantity at the bottom of the picking ticket will remain a whole number calculated by rounding up each line item case quantity.  This feature is designed for customers that typically ship product in cases and not pick-and-pack.  Orders that are pick-and-pack can use the total as an estimation for the maximum number of cases, but the order would need to be processed in Shipment Verification for an actual case count.

The purpose of this enhancement is to allow a fraction of a case to be sold when a whole case is typical. For example, a line item quantity of 35 where the case size is 20 would have printed the case quantity as 2. The warehouse can easily make the mistake of shipping 2 whole cases, giving the customer 5 free items. The new logic will print the case quantity as 1.75, which tells the warehouse they need to open one case and remove 5 before shipping.  The total remains a whole number since there would still be two physical cases to ship.
