Feature - Added Item Price Mismatch Event in Sales Order Import
Release date: 4/19/2022
Version: 8.5 and Up
You can now subscribe to the Item Price Mismatch Event in Sales Order Import. This will trigger an email when there is a price discrepancy between the import price for an item and the calculated price in Elliott when an order is imported through Sales Order Import. The flag to control the price check can be found in the Customer EDI Profile, so the Event is driven by customer number.
You can subscribe to the Item Price Mismatch Event from either Customer
File Maintenance or Inquiry. For example, go to A/R, Inquiry, and Customer
File Inquiry, bring up any customer and click on the Events button on
the toolbar.
In the Event Request window, press F5 to insert a new Event. Find and select the "Item Price Mismatch" Event.
In the Event Action Request window, you can specify a customer or subscribe to all. Also, you can make it a recurring request in the Disposition section. You cannot use the Msg Box option because Sales Order Import is a printing function. The message box can only be used for desktop user interactive functions.
The Filters tab shows the Event variables. These variables can be used to filter when the event will be triggered. It can also be included in the email to show their values.
With the Event added, any price discrepancy in Sales Order Import will trigger an email to notify you of the condition. This is especially useful if you use deferred processing to import sales orders where you don't have a chance to review warning messages like price discrepancies.
