Feature - Operator Inquiry Auto Refresh to Show Latest Operator Status
Version: 8.5 & Up
If you are using Plus Work Orders and clock operators' time through scanning, then in BOMP -> Inquiry -> Operator Inquiry, the system will display a list of operators and their status. If the user presses the up or down arrow key, the system will automatically refresh and display the most up-to-date operator status.
In this update, we now introduce the feature that will automatically refresh the operator's status in the Operator Inquiry screen even if user does not press any key. The idea is that the user can now put the Operator Inquiry screen on a big TV on the shop floor so the operator's status is clearly visible to everyone in the area.
The refresh time of the Operator Inquiry screen is defined in Global Setup -> Dist -> BOMP Global Control -> Screen 7 -> "2. Time out in Sec & Send Up Key in Operator Inquiry?" You can enter the value zero, which will display this feature. See sample screen below:
If this feature is enabled, then the Operator Inquiry will be refreshed every so many seconds as defined in the above Global Setup flag. We will also display the current date and time (HH:MM) on the top right corner as the screen refreshes. If the refresh interval is <=10 seconds, then we also display the second part of the time (HH:MM:SS). See sample screen below:
