How Do You Export Tracking Numbers From Elliott Into Shopify?

Release Date: 7/7/2023
Version: 8.5 & Up

Q: How do you export tracking numbers from Elliott into Shopify?

A: Shopify is a good tool to build a presence on the internet and allow customers to enter orders for your products.  Once you have shipped the products to the customer, Shopify requests you provide the tracking number so they can provide that to the customer.  The Shopify site doesn't have a menu option to import tracking numbers, but applications can be added to the Shopify portal to accomplish this task.  A popular app is called Bulk Fulfill and you can download the app here: https://apps.shopify.com/bulk-fulfill  This app allows you to upload tracking numbers into Shopify with a 4-column CSV file.

First, export the tracking numbers out of Elliott by going to COP, Processing, Print Pick/Pack Tickets and Ship Labels, Shipping, and Order Ship Status Audit Report.  Put in the Shopify customer number, use all order numbers, all entry dates, all pick dates, and all ship via codes.  Set Include History Orders, Print Cancel Orders, and Print Orders Without Tracking No to N.  Set Print 856 Exported Order to Y.  Set Print Posted Orders to N.  Set Create CSV File to Y and populate the CSV File Path and Name.  You’ll get more data than you need, but the main columns are for the PO number and tracking number.

Log into Shopify and locate the App section of the gray menu.

Click on the Bulk Fulfill app and proceed to open.  Before uploading, make sure the Excel file is in this format:

You can drag the CSV file to the "Drag or Click to upload" section or click on the link to browse to the CSV file.

Once the file is uploaded, you will see this screen.

If nothing is in red, that means your template is in the correct form.  Proceed to Start Bulk Fulfill and make sure the “Notify customers” box is checked.

Orders for which you provide the tracking number will now be marked as Fulfilled.
