Feature - Consolidate Specific Location Quantities in One Location Buyer Desk

Release Date: 5/30/24
Version: 8.5 and Above

If the Buyer Desk Global Setup option 2. Prompt Customer Type & Location in Buyer Desk, is set to N, Buyer Desk can be configured to run for either one location or two locations. If configured to run for one location, the inventory quantities such as the quantity on hand, quantity allocated, and quantity on order will only be for the one location specified while the quantity sold and the monthly bucket information will be for all locations. This feature allows the user to specify which secondary locations should be considered during the calculations for the one location version of Buyer Desk.

With this change, if only one location is entered in field 6. Default Locations, users can specify secondary locations that are considered part of that location. This is useful if overflow inventory is stocked in a secondary warehouse location. This calculation change is reflected in the quantities shown on the Buyer Desk review screen.

In the example above, the inventory quantity fields outlined in red will be a combination of the quantities from the C and the B locations instead of just the C location. The quantity sold fields and the monthly buckets will be a combination of the quantities from the C and B locations instead of all locations. This gives the buyer a better idea of the quantity available including the overflow locations.
