Feature - Average Days Out of Stock Calculation in Two-Location Buyer's Desk

Release Date: 7/31/24
Revised: 10/14/24
Version: 8.5

This feature added a new filter criteria to the two-location version of Buyer's Desk. The option "Avg DOS/Mon Value >   Avg of # of Month   For Loc" allows the user to choose if items should be filtered based on a calculated value of average days out of stock over a specified number of months for either a specific location or both location groups specified in Buyer's Desk Global Setup.

13. Avg DOS/Mon Value > 99  Avg of # of Month 99 For Loc XX
  • Avg DOS/Mon Value - Enter a value between 0 and 30. If 0 is entered, no filter will be applied.
  • Avg of # of Month - Enter a value of 0 or a value between 3 and 12.
  • Loc - Enter the main location of the location group to be used to for the filter or enter spaces for both locations.
Note: If zero is entered for the Avg DOS/Mon Value, the application will prompt for the Avg of # of Month with a default value of zero. If both values are zero, the application will not calculate the default 3M AvgDOS and 4-12M AvgDOS so and they will not be available in the CSV export or on the Item Review screen. If a value other than zero is entered in the Avg of # of Month, that value will be used to calculate the average days out of stock values but will not be used as a filter criteria.

When the average is calculated, the current month's days out of stock is not included in the calculation. For example, if the current month is July, the average will be calculated using the days out of stock for April, May, and June.

This calculated value is displayed on the Item Review screen for each location for the current location being evaluated.
