Labels Are Sometimes Misaligned On The Form

Release Date: 8/5/2024

Q: Why are my labels sometimes misaligned on the label forms?

A: When labels are misaligned on the form, most of the time you can perform a hard reset on the printer to reset to factory defaults and restore the alignment.  See your printer documentation for specific instructions.  This works for cases where the misalignment is consistent.

When the alignment is not consistent, there may be other issues.  One customer provided a picture of their labels where the misalignment was inconsistent.

You can see that the some of the labels print perfectly in the middle, while some print a little off to the side, and others go off the edge of the label.  The hole in between each label indicates to the printer where the next label begins by using a light sensor.  The alignment can be off if the sensor is dirty or failing, resulting in the labels shown.  We recommend contacting the technician that installed the printer to see if the printer can be serviced or needs to be replaced.
