Feature - Specify If IMITMFIL Master File Attributes Can Be Copied

Release Date: 9/6/24
Version: 8.5 and Above

When an item is copied to a new item, the user is prompted and asked if they would like to copy the attributes from the old item to the new item.

If the user answers Yes, all attributes are copied from the old item to the new item. If they answer No, no attributes are copied. This feature gives the user the option to specify if attributes with an attribute enhancement on file with IMITMFIL specified as the Master File should be copied when an item is copied. A new field has been added to the attribute enhancement screen.

Copy - Possible values are Y=Yes, N=No, and Space=Default. The default value is space. The Y and N are considered override values when the user is prompted about copying the attributes. For example, when the copy item function asks the user if they want to copy attributes:

If you answer Y to this prompt:

  • Attributes with the enhancement option set to Y or space will copy.
  • Attributes with the enhancement option set to N will not copy.

If you answer N to this prompt:

  • Attributes with the enhancement option set to Y will still copy.
  • Attributes with the enhancement option set to N or space will not copy.

This change also applies to the new item import by CSV when copying from an existing item.
