Indented Bill of Material Inquiry

Application Overview

The Indented Bill Of Material Inquiry application is used to quickly and easily finds the Bill of Material for an entered parent item.

It offers the option of blowing through phantom items (non‑stocked, non‑controlled component items) to show the phantom's components in place of the phantom item.

It also allows the operator to choose the number of levels he wishes the screen to display and to choose whether or not he wishes to see active items, obsolete items, and/or forecasted items.

If the number of levels to explode is set to 11, all subsequent levels of components are displayed.  If a component is used in more than one sub-assembly within a given product structure, it will appear under every sub-assembly in which it is used.

It also offers the option of displaying the reference designators defined in the Product Structure File Maintenance application.
