BM0800 Bill of Material End Item Where-Used Report

End Item Where-Used Report

Application Overview

The End Item Where-Used Report prints the end items that are parents at some level for a selected range of component items.

The operator can choose up to six different end item codes or default to All in defining the contents of this report.

The end item code, found on the Inventory Item record, is used to indicate whether the item is a salable item or only a component.  Some items are salable as replacement parts and are also used as components of other items.

You can define the values of this field to be anything that you like, except for F and K, which are reserved for Feature and Kit Items. An example of how it could be used is included here for your reference.

                    E = End Item Only

                    C = Component Only

                    R = Replacement Part

The application also allows the operator to choose whether or not he wishes to print active items, obsolete items, and/or forecasted items.

NOTE:  The terms active, forecasted and obsolete refer here to structure records within the Bills of Material.  For example, if you request to not show obsolete items, then if a component is flagged as obsolete within a particular parent, this particular parent will not be shown on the print‑out.  This will be the case, even if both the parent and component are still flagged as active on the Inventory Item File.
