Add Credit Hold Flag with Customer Mass Update by CSV Utility

Post Labor and Overhead Transactions as they are captured not only when quantities are reported.
Labor and overhead are only being posted from BoM when a quantity is reported. For example if a worker is working on building 1 machine for 5 days, every day he reports 0 completed until the 5th day when he completes it. The first 4 days, nothing comes to the GL for Labor or Overhead. On the 5th day when the 1 is completed, ALL the labor and overhead goes to that one day. The amount of labor should show up every day rather than all in 1 time.

Transition an Item to Obsolete
Currently, if an item is marked as obsolete, then we don't allow our users to sell it. This is done through Global Setup -> Cop-Func -> Order Line Item Screen, flag "7. Allow Entry For Obsolete Item in COP Line Item".
However, in many situations, we may still have inventory left and we still want to sell them before totally obsolete it. Therefore, we need to keep the item as "A" (Active). But in the mean time, we need to prevent the purchasing of this item. We can't warn the user if the item stay as "A" (Active).
Can we…

Print Duplicate Invoices from Invoice History by Range Criteria
Currently, user can print duplicate posted invoice by going to COP -> Processing -> Print Duplicate Invoice. However, this function only allow printing invoice one at a time. It may be desirable for some users to print by range, i.e. starting invoice number and ending invoice number.
For example, one use case is a salesman prepare a list of invoices for a customer purchased for the prior month as a special customer services. In that case, the salesman would like to prompt for "Customer Number" and "Staring/Ending Invoice Date". Please provide feed back on your use case so we can…

Prevent Excel Drop Leading Zeroes in CSV Item Number Field
When I export Elliott's Item Number to CSV through either Export Processor, or Elliott provided reports with CSV export option, the leading zeroes will be dropped when I open it with Excel. For example, item number 0100, when open the CSV in Excel, it is displayed as 100. I found the following article that can address this issue:
This article suggest instead of exporting item number 0100 in the CSV as "0100", we can add a equal sign "=" in the front to make it ="0100", this way, Excel will preserve the leading zero.
6 votescompleted · AdminEdward M. Kwang - NETcellent System, Inc. (CEO / Founder, NETcellent Systems, Inc.) respondedThis has been addressed for the following fields – item number, 25 character PO number, tracking number, and UPC codes. The change will be available in the next Elliott release. Running Order Edit List based on Qty Ordered
When running List, Edit List from COP Order Entry there is no option to run the report based on "qty ordered" instead of "qty to ship". Companies that default the "qty to ship" to zero get misleading information, on the total value of the opened orders.
6 votescompleted · AdminEdward M. Kwang - NETcellent System, Inc. (CEO / Founder, NETcellent Systems, Inc.) respondedThe order total area for the order detail and the summary total page have been changed to show the Order Amount, the Cost, Margin and Margin Percentage (if the user is allowed to see cost information) based on the quantity ordered for “O” and “I” type orders. Create number of Shipping Labels based on Customer Item pack size
When creating shipping labels, the number of labels created should first look at the customer item pack size and then default to the item file pack size. If there's a shipment for 20, with the item pack size being 4 and customer pack size being 10, we want 2 labels to print, not 5.

WOP - keep qty allocated for shortage items
When a "Pick Kit" operation is not fully satisfied (for example, qty needed for a component is 12 and qty of 9 was reported as pulled), Elliott assumes that only 9 are needed and release the remaining 3 allocated. I understand that there is a situation that there is no need for the remaining 3 and in this case the allocation should be released. My experience shows that in all the scenarios that I have been involved with, the allocation must remain. I am using a "shortage report" that Roger developed but the ATP is wrong and the purchasing decisions…

Utility to Reset AP Vendor Amount Paid Year to Day (YTD) and Last Year
Currently, there are utility to reset AR customer sales PTD, YTD and Last Year. But there's no utility to reset AP vendor amount paid year to day (YTD) and last year. We need vendor amount paid year to day or last year to print 1099. But sometime we have difficulty with closing a year at exactly the year end. We may still wait for invoices that's not received yet past the new year day. Thus can't clear the vendor's YTD and Last Year accumulator at the right time. This utility will give us the flexibility. For this utility, the YTD…

Add Function Key to Print Duplicate Invoices from Order Inquiry
When looking at the invoice history for a customer in Order Inquiry, it would be very convenient to hit a function key and print a duplicate invoice for the highlighted invoice. This would be much more efficient that typing invoice numbers into Print Duplicate invoice and referring back and forth between 2 screens. This would work very similar to the ability to print picking tickets from Order Inquiry.

WO Plus - Allow to add a new material with zero quantity and have the system creates allocation to the new product
One excellent feature that was added to the Work Order Plus was the feature to allow allocation for components that are not available. NOT as the original design that assumed that if the quantity needed is 10 and you used 9, then the allocation to the remaining 1 is released, now user can decide to keep the unreported quantity as allocated and use it later.
In the attached screen there is a situation where user wants to add an item that is not on the original Bill of material. Elliott allows that but does NOT allow to report 0.

Do Not Allow to Avoid AP Check if It Is Already Reconciled
Currently, in Accounts Payable, Processing, Void Checks After Posting, system allow voiding an AP check even if that check is already reconciled.
It is suggested that we should not allow this to happen. So we suggest to add the following Global Setup flag to AP Global Control:
Allow Voiding Reconciled AP Check?
The possible value is "Y" and "N". Default is "N". When a user try to void an AP check that has already been reconciled, system will now print proper error message in the void journal to indicate so without actually voiding it.If user had determine a mistake…

Add Product Category and Item Material Type to Item Audit Trail
The Item Product Category and Item Material Cost type are very important and as we know the values effect the GL on the revenues, COGS and Inventory Asset accounts. I suggest to add these fields to the audit trail. An example is a change on the Material type that changes the Stock status by GL account file without changing the GL.

Mass Update Customer Csv Import
The Customer/eContact Import Utility is designed more toward adding customers or eContacts. It does not work as well as a generic tool to update existing customer fields. Therefore, it is suggested that we should have a generic utility to mass update customer by CSV to support the following fields: Salesman, Collector, Territory, Location, Customer Type, Ship via, Terms, Ship to Days, Freight Pay Code, UPS Zone, Credit Rating, Credit Limit, Comment 1 & 2, Form#, Customer Note 1 - 5, User Amount, User Date.

Add Salesman Column to Open Order by Customer CSV Export
Currently, there's no way to export open order by salesman report to CSV. On the other hand, there's the option to export op[en order by customer report to CSV. The issue is the Salesman column is not in this CSV export. I suggest to add the salesman column to Open Order by Customer CSV export, before the PO# column. This way, the same CSV export can be used as by Customer, by Item, By Salesman depend on how you choose to sort in the spreadsheet.

Allow to Add Notes When Adding BOMP Work Orders
We need to show work order notes during printing work order. At this moment, you can add work order notes during change or inquire of the work order.
However, when I am adding a work order in BOMP module, systems do not allow me to add the notes at the same time. I must complete the work order first and go to the change mode before I can add notes to this work order. That's not convenient.
Can you change work order processing so I can add notes to the work order during the adding of that work order?
