  1. Allow print bill of material with only item number, first line description, quantity, unit. No flags

    We use a 3rd party report writer to create written copies of the bills of materials to be used in the operation manuals for our machinery. these are saved as PDF files and entered using Adobe. We only show the Item Number, first line description, quantity used, and unit type (ie. EA, FT, SET etc.). It would be helpful to have the capability to print this straight out of Elliott. I have attached a page of one of our manuals for an example.

  2. eContact on location

    When you need to email the Pick Ticket to a remote warehouse (might be a 3rd party), it will be nice to use the Post Office.

    1. Add the Pick Ticket as possible Post Office Document.
    2. Allow to assign the Pick Ticket on the eContact of the location. Elliott allows to add an eContact to a location in the Location file maintenance.
    3. In order entry add the eContact of the location to the order.
    4. When printing Pick Ticket, allow Post Office (now only PDF is allowed).
    Cybermac plans to create a modification that will do the above…

    Avi, we already have a solution to handle the scenario. You can go to Global setup, Pick/Pack Ticket/Ship Label, flag “15. Default Pick Ticket Printer by Location”. Set it to “Y”.

    The during printing of pick ticket, base on the location you enter for the pick ticket, the workstation id will be different. As as result, you can setup print option window differently base on different warehouse location.

    As you know that we can already printing to PDF and email. So all you have to do is to setup the email destination in email tab. Then the whole thing will flow correctly.

  3. Available to Promise Period Summary -CSV output to support YTD QTY Usage + ATP

    Currently the csv output only has Usage YTD and QTY on hand.
    Including
    YTD Qty Usage + ATP (until year end) would be a benifit.

    Possibly
    Last Yr Qty Usage would be a good thing also.

    Theoretically, This is doable with I/M → Reports → Reorder Advise Reports → User Defined CSV Export. Both Qty Usage YTD and Last Year are part of item master and are easily retrievable. ATP (until year end) is tricky. Currently, you can get ATP net change for a period by weeks. So if you know how many weeks till the end of year, then you can define that in the layout. But the issue is you will change that layout as time progress.

  4. Change Customer' SLM eContact when Customer's SLM is changed

    The excellent Post Office allows to email a copy of the invoice to the SLM by adding the SLM as an eContact (after adding the SLM's email as an eContact to the SLM file). Changing a SLM on the customer file requires deleting the eContact of the old SLM and adding a new eContact of the new SLM on the Customer screen manually. I suggest to have a prompt "Change SLM eContact?" after changing a SLM. If user answer Yes (should be the default), Elliott will delete the old SLM eContact from the customer and add the new SLM eContact.

  5. Merge negative manual check to Bank Book

    I discussed the situation with Roger:
    There are situations where the company receives a refund check from a vendor. First a voucher was entered, then the invoice was paid and after that the vendor agreed to refund the payment.
    There are 2 ways to process it;
    1. Make a non-A/R cash receipt and credit the expense account that was debited on the original voucher. In this solution the vendor history is not effected. User can change the vendor file accumulators (amount purchased and amount paid) but this is not a good practice and the other files as AP Open Items…

  6. Print Bin Locations on Purchase Orders

    Unless you're using the warehouse module or transfers there is no way to direct the warehouse personnel where items should be put away in the warehouse

    Printing a Bin Location on a purchase order would greatly facilitate putting stock away when it comes in. To accomplish this the BIN LOCATION can be added to the PO FORM SETUP. This way it would be optional for each company.

    In lieu of this the BIN location may be printed on the Receiving Edit list or the Posting Report.

  7. Adding Material to Work Order Already Printed

    Users want to be able to add material to a work order that's already been printed. For example, if there's part ABC-123 for the work order with quantity per of 2, but the floor sees there's none in stock but they can use part DEF-123 instead, they want to change the work order.

    Elliott allows them to report 0, say yes for any changes, then hit F2 to add material. However, it does not let the user add a quantity of 0. User wants to be able to say DEF-123 requires 1 per, but 0 so far. This way the…

    This may or may not resolve your issue. We are not sure your intention to add DEF-123 without reporting the materials in production screen. Regardless, we know the current limitation of stopping users from changing the plus work order once the work order is started. We intend to lift this limitation and make it more flexible. For example, if the material had not been reported yet, then even if the work order is started, we should allow the change of materials through work order entry screen. A new idea will be added in this area. If you support his concept, please add your support. Thank you

  8. Multi Location out of Stock inquiry

    In Sales Desk, when an item is out of stock and an inquiry is made it adds to the OSI number in Buyer Desk. My question is regarding Multiple Location OSI; does Elliott currently add an OSI if the item is out of stock in the location selected in sales desk but can ship from a different one?

    The logic to update OSI (Out of Stock Inquiry) is currently base on the primary location quantity which is P location in your case. This works for 99% of our customers since most of them are single locations. It works for Davidson’s as well in the past until the G location was added. I think we can make a change to consider both P & G location’s quantity before updating the OSI. It would not be a difficult mod. We do not consider this as a top priority for Netcellent to make the change since this does not apply to most of our users.

  9. Right-click to view database information: field name/file name

    It would be simply amazing if there were a way to right click to view the database location (file name such as: IMITMFIL - which I know is in many locations when using Elliott), but also field name of a given area of the screen (for instance: If right clicking within the "Event Action Request" screen on the "Program:" field, then return SYEVTACT_PROGRAM).

    I feel this would help with reporting for users with less experience (and for those who do have experience).

  10. Purge spooled reports automatically

    There are some functions that generate spooled reports that don't need to be archived and stored forever. Could you create an option for whether or not to auto-archive reports; or maybe even mark specific reports for deletion after a specified time period?

  12. Show Net Unit Price on Ack and Quote

    Provide a method to show Net Unit Price, instead of Unit Price and Discount %, on the COP Order acknowledgement and quote. With that, we could discontinue using the DYO forms and thus leverage the pfdPostOffice functionality.

    A potential solution is to go to Global Setup → COP-Func → Order Line Item Screen → 14. Is Unit Price Before Discount Percent? The default value is “Y”. If you set the flag to “N”, then during order entry when the line item is added, the unit price will apply the order/customer discount percent and the line item discount percent will become zero. This way, the line item unit price is the net unit price. If you want to get the discount percent, it is stored in order header.

  14. Add a "check form" to pdf post office for use as remittance advice for ACH payments.

    This is the only thing I need to automate AP ACH to make it more efficient than printing and mailing checks. I use the vendor type field to identify suppliers set up for ACH, which shows up on the pre-check register, and do separate "check runs". The rest is template driven with the bank.

  16. AR Aging report: add option to run report by Salesperson. Sale isn't complete till paid. Need AR report to give to Sales Group.

    AR Aging report: Add option to run report by Salesperson. The Sale isn't complete till Paid!! We need an AR report to give to Sales Group as they usually prefer to contact their clients-some relationships are tricky. The current AR report just needs to be modified to use field #21 as an option " by Salesperson" I think this report would help all collect their AR most efficiently. Please vote for this additional report. Thanks.

  17. Bring Item Note Even if Field 4 on Global Setup is L

    The user needs this feature to see Item Notes while creating an order. Currently if the Note Global setup is L in field 4, the item notes are not copied and the user cannot see them. User must open another window to see the Notes of the Item. I think this should be the setup or at least have an option to do that. I in field 4 is not a good solution because user wants to add Order Line Notes and not keep them on the Item permanently.

  19. Allow to enter up to 3 SLM on a customer file

    We would like the ability to add up to 3 salesmen with a percentage on the customer file so the user doesn't have to enter it every time on Order Entry.

  20. Support AP ACH Processing

    We recently introduced AR ACH Processing feature. Now we like to know from you if anyone is interested in AP ACH Processing. The idea is instead of printing AP check, for vendors who is flagged to pay by ACH, then system print A/P check, in stead of print the paper check, system will create NACHA file to pay electronically.
